Clean decisions
Conflict of interest
Last updated: June 2026
A conflict of interest is any situation where someone's personal, family, or financial interests could improperly influence a decision they make for PRASM. Having one isn't wrong; hiding it is. This policy keeps our decisions clean and trusted.
Who it applies to
Anyone who makes or influences decisions for PRASM: the founder, any future board members, and key volunteers.
What must be declared
For example: a financial interest in a supplier or partner we might use; a close personal or family relationship with someone who would benefit from a decision; or any payment, gift, or benefit offered because of someone's role at PRASM.
How we handle it
The interest is declared as soon as it's known. The person with the conflict steps back from that specific decision: they don't push it or, on a board, vote on it. The decision and the declaration are recorded.
As we form a governing board, declared interests will be kept in a simple register the board reviews.
Gifts and benefits
We don't accept gifts or hospitality that could look like they're buying influence. Modest, normal courtesies are fine; anything beyond that is declined or declared.
An honest note
We're small and founder-led today, so most decisions sit with one person. We state this policy now precisely because that concentration is exactly when clear rules matter, and because a future board will rely on them.
